KAS Eupen has made such good progress in the planning stage for the construction of its office and new changing rooms for youth teams on the grounds of the Kehrweg Stadium that the construction project is now in a position to publicly invite tenders. Newspaper advertisements published in GrenzEcho and L’Avenir on Friday invite interested construction companies to submit tenders.
The plan is to construct a three-storey building with a usable area of 950m², which is to be built on the grounds of the Kehrweg Stadium next to the T1 main stand. The portacabins housing the youth changing rooms are currently located there.
With the new building, KAS Eupen is pursuing several objectives. Improving the currently very poor changing options for the numerous youth teams that play at the Kehrweg is a priority. 6 new changing rooms are to be built. With the relocation of the office from the Quartum Center to the Kehrweg, KAS Eupen is realising its long-held ambition to move all the premises of the club to one central location and thus make exchange and communication between all employees of the association considerably more simple. In addition, the new building will also include meeting rooms, which are to be used as a lounge on game days.
KAS Eupen expects to receive tenders from the construction companies concerned by 5th November and must obtain a planning permit once the contract has been awarded and the final planning of all details has been completed. The new building is scheduled for completion by the summer of 2018.
