KAS Eupen faces its next major challenge on the 14th match day of the Jupiler Pro League. The team of head coach Jordi Condom kicks off its away match at Sint-Truiden VV at 20:00 on Saturday. Although the Limburgers lost 4-1 to leaders FC Brügge (Bruges) last weekend, they are still among the surprise teams in the Championship with 23 points and fourth place in the table.
Even though KAS Eupen was unable to add to its points tally last weekend, many observers have highlighted the strong performance of Eupen in the 2-3 loss to RSC Anderlecht. Now KAS Eupen wants to build on its second-half performance and reap the benefits of its effort this time in the form of one or three points. The game against Anderlecht has certainly boosted the motivation of Jordi Condom’s squad.
Without Hendrik Van Crombrugge but with Babacar Niasse
In Sint-Truiden, KAS Eupen will have to cope without its starting goalkeeper Hendrik Van Crombrugge, who has to recover from a hamstring injury. Replacing him in goal is Babacar Niasse, who proved for half a game last Saturday that he can be relied upon.
To get the best possible preparation for the encounter in Sint-Truiden, the team under captain Luis Garcia also completed training sessions on the artifical pitch at the Kehrweg Stadium.
