KAS Eupen’s U21 team had to accept two more defeats in the Reserve 1A championship. The side coached by Egide Forthomme lost both games against Excelsior Mouscron and KV Oostende by a single goal. From a KAS Eupen perspective, the away game in Ostend, where Eupen wasted many scoring opportunities, was a bigger loss.
KAS Eupen’s U21 side lost the home game against Excelsior Mouscron 0-1, while the away game at KV Oostende ended in a 1-2 defeat. KAS Eupen went 0-1 behind in Ostend in the 20th minute thanks to a score from a free kick. Pita Schimei nailed the equaliser to make it 1-1 just before the break. Eupen then created many scoring chances, but were unable to convert them. So KV Oostende salvaged a 2-1 win following a corner in the 80th minute.
