New turf will be laid this week in KAS Eupen’s Kehrweg Stadium. The new surface will be playable just in time for the home game against SK Lokeren on Saturday evening. The heavy rainfall over the autumn and winter months and the extremely dark days in December and January affected the turf in the stadium so much that the playing surface was no longer able to recover from the impact of games and training sessions and required urgent renewal. Upon completion of preparatory measures carried out last week, the company Pfeiffer, from Willich, laid turf over a total area of 7200 square metres on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The new pitch will provide good conditions for the upcoming home games against Lokeren (24th February) and Mouscron (13th March).
