First training under Florian Kohfeldt
This Thursday, in front of the eyes of numerous fans of KAS Eupen and many members of the press, the new head coach Florian Kohfeldt conducted his first training session at KAS Eupen. He was supported by his new assistant coaches Vincent Heilmann and Chris Verona as well as Kristoffer Andersen, Mario Kohnen and Yanni Egyptien from the club’s previous coaching staff.
After the training session, Florian Kohfeldt chatted briefly with some of the present fans and held his first press conference in the press room. The new head coach of KAS Eupen explained that after more than 10 years of coaching in Germany and a year off, he was drawn to a foreign country. Due to good discussions with the management of KAS Eupen and the level of the Belgian Pro League, in which many talented players play very physical football, the choice fell on KAS Eupen.
He said his target is ambitious, but he wants to reach the play-off 2 with his team. “I look back on a good start here in Eupen. I like the city and the first training session with many young and talented players was fun,” told Florian Kohfeldt to the journalists.
