KAS Eupen sign centre-forward Bartosz Bialek from VfL Wolfsburg
KAS Eupen have signed Polish centre-forward Bartosz Bialek from VfL Wolfsburg for this season. The two clubs and the player have agreed on a loan until 30 June 2024.
Bartosz Bialek was born in Brzeg on 11 November 2001. He passed through the youth academy of first division club Zaglebie Lubin. There he made his professional debut in 2019, appearing in 19 Ekstraklasa matches and scoring 9 goals. In the summer of 2020, he moved to VfL Wolfsburg, where he is still under contract until 2024 and appeared in 31 Bundesliga matches. For the 2022-2023 season he was loaned to Dutch first division club Vitesse Arnhem (25 appearances – 5 goals).
Christoph Henkel, general director of KAS Eupen: “Despite his young age, Bartosz Bialek brings with him the experience of 75 first division appearances in Poland, Germany and the Netherlands. With his penalty area presence and his header strength, he will add pressure, impetus and scoring power to our team’s offensive. We look forward to working with Bartosz Bialek and wish him every success at KAS Eupen.”
