KAS Eupen signs defensive player Scott Kennedy
KAS Eupen has signed defensive player Scott Kennedy. The 27-year-old Canadian international (14 caps) joins KAS Eupen from Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC. He signed a two-year contract with the Pandas on Thursday evening until 30 June 2026.
Scott Kennedy was born on 31 March 1997 in Calgary (Canada) and came to Germany at the age of 18, where he initially played in southern Germany for SB Chiemgau Traunstein and FC Amberg.
In 2017, the Canadian-German player moved to Austria to the regional league club SV Grödig. From there, he moved to Austria Klagenfurt in the Austrian 2nd Bundesliga in 2018, where he played 40 matches. From 2020 to 2023, he played in the 2nd German Bundesliga at Jahn Regensburg and made 73 appearances under current KAS Eupen coach Mersad Selimbegović. In the 2023-2024 season, he played for Wolfsberger AC in the First Austrian Bundesliga and made 21 appearances.
He wore the Canadian national shirt in 14 international matches so far. Scott Kennedy can be deployed in several defensive positions, including centre-back.
