KAS Eupen signs Indonesian international Shayne Pattynama
KAS Eupen has signed the 25-year-old Indonesian left-back and midfielder Shayne Pattynama. The new arrival from KAS Eupen is 1.85 metres tall and played for Norwegian first division club Viking FK Stavanger until 31 December 2023. Born in the Netherlands with dual nationality (Netherlands-Indonesia), he is an Indonesian international and has signed a 2½-year contract with KAS Eupen until 30 June 2026.
Shayne Pattynama was born on 11 August 1998 in Lelystad (NL) and was formed in the youth divisions of Ajax Amsterdam and FC Utrecht. He played 90 matches in the Dutch 2nd division with FC Utrecht II and SC Telstar from 2017 to 2021. On 1 April 2021, he moved to Viking FK Stavanger, for whom he made 70 appearances in the Norwegian Elite Series.
On 19 June 2023, Shayne Pattynama made his international debut for Indonesia against Argentina. Since then, he has played a total of 6 international matches, most recently against Australia at the 2024 Asia Cup.
KAS Eupen’s new player is a left-back who can also play in midfield.
