Luis Garcia new national coach of Qatar
Former KAS Eupen captain Luis Garcia is the new national coach of Qatar. The 43-year-old Spaniard, who most recently worked as assistant coach of the Qatari national team under former AS coach Tintin Marquez, will prepare the team for the Gulf Cup in Kuwait, which begins on 21 December.
Luis Garcia joined KAS Eupen from Real Zaragoza in the summer of 2014 and played a total of 182 games for the Pandas until spring 2019. He scored 37 goals and provided 27 assists. For five years, Luis Garcia played a major role in the team’s promotion to the 1st Division and its success in staying in the league.
